THE AMERICAN HEALTHCARE CRISIS ISN’T WHAT YOU THINK.
Dr. Erica Rowe Urquhart, an orthopedic surgeon, MBA, and private practice owner, has seen both sides of the system. For decades, she has witnessed insurers weaponize paperwork, delay care, and deny claims while pocketing billions.
In this unflinching exposé, Dr. Urquhart reveals the insurers’ playbook: a manufactured language designed to confuse, obstruct, and deny care. She exposes how geography determines treatment quality, how “approved” procedures are later refused payment, and how lawmakers routinely favor lobbyists over patients.
With surgical precision, she doesn’t just diagnose a broken system—she prescribes a cure.
For anyone who has faced insurance denials, endured endless delays, or struggled with incomprehensible medical bills, this book isn’t just eye-opening. It’s essential.
